Procurement Assistant – Technical & IT Procurement

About the role

Exigo Tech is looking for a Procurement Assistant to support the acquisition of IT infrastructure, applications and related services. The role works closely with internal IT, finance and legal teams as well as external vendors to ensure purchases are timely, cost‑effective and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and recommend configurations for IT hardware, software, cloud services, licences and technical support contracts.
• Review and validate technical specifications against IT standards and coordinate with technical teams.
• Track software licence renewals, subscriptions and manage related documentation.
• Request, evaluate and compare quotations from IT vendors, resellers and service providers.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Monitor order status, deliveries, asset hand‑overs and maintain asset, licence and contract trackers.
• Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies, approval workflows and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical specifications.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IT hardware, software and basic infrastructure concepts.
• Familiarity with software licensing models such as SaaS, subscriptions and maintenance agreements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with ERP or procurement systems is a plus.
