Procurement Assistant

About the role

The Procurement Assistant supports the Procurement Department in sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring goods and services required by the organization. The role ensures accurate documentation, timely processing of purchase requests, and coordination with suppliers while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in processing Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with internal departments to clarify procurement requirements and specifications.
• Source quotations from accredited suppliers and prepare comparative analyses.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Receive, check, and document delivered items against purchase orders.
• Support inventory monitoring and reconciliation when required.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.
• Perform other procurement‑related administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
