Process Engineer – Die Attach/Clip Attach (DACA)

About the role

The Process Engineer will support manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, and implementing Die Attach/Clip Attach (DACA) processes. This role focuses on enhancing process capability, driving cost and quality improvements, and supporting new product introductions within a semiconductor assembly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new processes to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness for assigned stations.
• Qualify and release new equipment platforms or process technologies.
• Conduct machine and process capability studies; analyse data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Implement process improvement strategies using DOE, SPC, and other statistical methods.
• Prioritise and execute process and quality improvement projects based on business needs.
• Maintain process documentation such as FMEA, OCAP, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support NPI activities, customer product qualifications, and sample builds.
• Prepare technical reports, evaluation summaries, and customer‑required 8D reports.
• Assist with internal, customer, and certification audits as needed.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Quality, NPI, and R&D teams to achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Process Engineering or NPI within semiconductor assembly.
• Experience with Die Attach/Clip Attach processes; exposure to solder dispense, solder print, and reflow is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
