Process Design Engineer – Mechanical Utilities

About the role

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Process Design Engineer to lead mechanical utilities design for its bakery, confectionery and noodle production lines. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet cost, quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate development and approval of design standards for mechanical utilities (HVAC, steam, compressed air, water, wastewater, piping, pumps).
• Manage the feasibility stage, aligning scope, timeline and budget with all stakeholders.
• Perform design analysis, calculations and interface with process, packaging, civil and electrical teams.
• Drive timely design, tendering and awarding of mechanical utility packages and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective tendering and compliance.
• Support the Design Manager in meeting project timelines and prepare progress reports.
• Incorporate safety and permit compliance into all work scopes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (licensed preferred).
• 1‑3 years of experience in mechanical utilities design, including HVAC, steam, compressed air, water treatment, wastewater treatment, piping and pumps.
• Strong mathematical and engineering acumen.
• Basic project management skills.
