Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will support the delivery of marine, coastal and infrastructure projects by creating, maintaining and analysing project schedules. You will work closely with design, construction and contract teams to ensure that timelines are realistic and aligned with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedules for tender, consultancy and construction phases using Primavera P6 and MS Project, including multiple "what‑if" scenarios.
• Ensure schedules comply with contractual and procedural requirements.
• Coordinate with design, construction and contract administration teams to align schedules with project objectives.
• Produce progress and productivity reports and assist in material volume calculations.
• Maintain organised schedule‑related records for defensibility in claims or disputes.
• Track schedule risks, issue early warnings and close gaps in project documentation.
• Draft programme‑related correspondence and support claims analysis, including first‑pass delay analysis for EOT claims.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 4‑7 years of experience in planning, scheduling or project controls, preferably on marine, coastal or infrastructure projects.
• Basic understanding of contractual claims processes and delay analysis techniques.
• Strong organisational, analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
