People Operations Specialist (Remote – Manila)

About the role

We are seeking a Process Guardian to champion emerging people‑operations practices, ensuring our physical and virtual work environment empowers the team. You will bridge departmental and company goals while upholding a human‑centered design.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the internal expert on labour laws, employee insurance, and payroll matters.
• Lead the People Operations team to continuously improve the employee experience.
• Partner with leadership to align recruiting resources with business objectives.
• Source top talent, refine recruitment initiatives, and showcase our culture.
• Serve as liaison between departments to facilitate smooth operational transitions.
• Mentor junior team members and drive upskilling initiatives.
• Identify inefficiencies, analyse data trends, and propose process improvements.
• Organise team events, both social (e.g., virtual drinks) and growth‑focused (e.g., Lunch & Learn).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Operations, Business Administration or Accounting.
• 5+ years experience in operations, HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or similar People Operations role.
• Previous startup experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of core HR functions: onboarding/off‑boarding, compensation & benefits, labour compliance, taxes, and employee‑lifecycle management.
• Proactive, growth‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to wear multiple hats, manage time effectively and solve complex problems analytically.
