Operator I – Manufacturing

About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Operator I to support its manufacturing operations. The role involves operating DPG‑Module equipment, performing 6S activities, and ensuring product quality through visual monitoring and SPC procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate DPG‑Module equipment manually or semi‑automatically.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑shift 6S activities.
• Monitor process visuals, SPC data, and perform sampling tests according to specifications.
• Record production data using AX, e‑logsheets, SPC, and Qualis systems.
• Account for lot quantities, categorize rejected parts, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Make decisions based on existing specifications and criteria.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; minimum age 18.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliability in attendance and willingness to wear required protective equipment.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with AX, e‑logsheets, SPC, and Qualis systems.
• Experience with DPG‑Module operation.
• Understanding of 6S workplace organization.
