New Construction Roofing Estimator

About the role

The New Construction Roofing Estimator is responsible for delivering accurate, timely takeoffs and competitive bids for new construction roofing projects at Tarrytown Roofing. This role sits at the front line of the pipeline, turning plans into proposals and actively engaging with general contractors to win work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precise roofing takeoffs from residential and commercial plans using PlanHub, Bluebeam Revu, and AI‑enhanced tools.
• Generate clean, professional bids that include clear scope, exclusions, and assumptions, while maintaining up‑to‑date estimating templates and unit pricing.
• Track every submitted bid, follow up with GCs and builders on a disciplined cadence, and document win/loss feedback.
• Maintain a current roster of suppliers and trade partners, evaluate performance, negotiate pricing, and recommend changes when better options arise.
• Keep an organized bid log and pipeline hygiene to ensure visibility of all opportunities.

• Strong estimating discipline combined with comfort using modern AI and takeoff software.
• Proactive communication style with the ability to build relationships with GCs and builders.
• Excellent organizational skills and a data‑driven approach to market intelligence.
