Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process setup and flow improvements across its eyewear production lines. The role works closely with technicians, production, and maintenance teams to identify and implement efficiency gains.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Industrialization, NPI, Quality, Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, Projects, Global Team) to boost yield and productivity.
• Ensure daily target yields are met, troubleshoot issues using OCAP procedures, and apply corrective actions.
• Conduct regular audits of process controls, inspect defect samples, and analyze trends for continuous improvement.
• Monitor line performance metrics such as yield, process capability, and laboratory test results.
• Perform statistical analysis (e.g., JMP) to validate project impact and provide reliable data‑driven decisions.
• Lead medium‑ and long‑term continuous improvement projects focused on yield, productivity, cost, safety, and quality.
• Validate new materials, equipment, and processes before production rollout.
• Create or update process control documentation, including control plans.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to communicate issues clearly.
• Excellent understanding of verbal and written instructions.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JMP for statistical analysis.
