About the role
Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. is seeking a competent Electrical Engineer with seagoing experience to join the engine department on its advanced container vessels. The role involves supervising electrical maintenance, ensuring safe operation of machinery, and supporting vessel commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise electrical maintenance and repair activities performed by shore personnel, including safety aspects.
- Check, maintain and repair all electrical/electronic plant, machinery, installations and equipment as directed by senior officers.
- Report electrical checks, maintenance tasks and reefer container status to the Chief Engineer and Chief Officer.
- Plan work and rest hours, ensuring compliance with regulations and raising any issues to senior officers.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months seatime in the rank of Electrical Engineer.
- At least 250 reefer container handling experience.
Required skills
- Electrical maintenance and repair.
- Reefer container operation and monitoring.
