Legal Officer

About the role

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is seeking a proactive Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal support and ensure compliance across all its operations. This role involves advising senior officials, managing dispute resolution, and safeguarding the federation’s interests in both local and international football regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and opinions to PFF officials.
• Monitor dispute resolution processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support administrative and project tasks involving legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and respond promptly to issues or concerns.
• Review, draft, and manage contracts, memoranda, office orders, and other corporate documents.
• Ensure all transactions, policies, and procedures are legally binding and enforceable.
• Maintain and secure documentation integrity.
• Develop and uphold company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Act as compliance officer for governmental regulations and football governing bodies such as FIFA and APC.
• Liaise with external counsel and government agencies.
• Travel as required, including outside Metro Manila or the Philippines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Studies, Administration, Legal Management, Secretarial or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal or paralegal experience (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
