Legal Counsel

About the role

GCash is looking for a Legal Counsel to support its mission of delivering innovative financial solutions across the Philippines. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal documents while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, negotiate and draft contracts, agreements and supporting documents.
• Identify contractual risks, ensure compliance and provide advisory interpretation.
• Answer contract‑related inquiries and draft related agreements as needed.
• Represent GCash in negotiations with partners, suppliers and clients.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to verify compliance with company policies.
• Conduct legal research, case studies and other tasks assigned by the Chief Legal Officer or Head of Contracts.
• Perform administrative functions related to the legal department.

Required profile

• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation and risk assessment.
• Ability to work with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for handling contract inquiries.
