Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will support Union Bank of the Philippines by providing comprehensive legal advice across its business units and subsidiaries. This role involves researching legal issues, reviewing contracts, and ensuring that the bank’s products and services comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on the bank’s legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to various business units and branches.
• Participate in the development and revision of bank policies.
• Deliver legal education and guidance to employees.
• Create standard legal document templates for the organization.
• Assist units in product and service development by assessing legal implications.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
