Lecturer – Advanced Web & Server Programming

About the role

The School of Information at Rochester Institute of Technology seeks a non‑tenure‑track Lecturer to begin in August 2024. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses covering advanced web programming and server‑side development. This role supports the school’s mission to deliver cutting‑edge information education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course materials for advanced web programming and server programming.
• Design and update curricula to reflect current industry practices.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.
• Mentor students on technical projects and career development.
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees.

Required profile

• Hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level in web or server programming.
• Strong research or professional background in software engineering.
• Ability to engage diverse student populations.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
