Training Coordinator for Early Childhood Project

About the role

The Training Coordinator supports day‑to‑day implementation of the BARMM‑LEADS early childhood care and learning project. Working directly with daycare workers, teachers, parents, caregivers, community leaders and local government units, the role helps improve early learning services in the BARMM region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct community orientation sessions on Plan International and the ECCD project for local leaders and stakeholders.
• Gather and update community and youth data, supporting information sharing within communities.
• Implement project activities according to approved workplans while ensuring child protection, safeguarding and gender‑equality principles.
• Facilitate monitoring and reflection sessions with partners to review progress and capture lessons learned.
• Document community activities, processes and good practices, and support data collection for monitoring and evaluation.
• Identify, mobilise and train parents and caregivers to act as ECCD champions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Education or related field.
• At least three years of experience in community‑based work, ECCD programming or development projects.
• Experience working with children, families and community groups using participatory approaches.
• Knowledge of gender sensitivity, child protection and community organising principles.

Required skills

• Basic digital literacy – ability to use computers, mobile devices, common software and internet‑based tools.
• Strong communication skills for explaining ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
