Lead Senior Systems Admin

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to lead the management, maintenance, and optimisation of our Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment. The role involves ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain RHEL systems enterprise‑wide.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle control.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning and patching.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, prioritising deliverables effectively.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Create and update comprehensive system documentation and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to critical incidents.

Required profile

• Strong Linux system administration experience, especially with RHEL.
• Proven experience administering Red Hat Satellite (installation, configuration, content management, provisioning).
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management and patching processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritise multiple deliverables and manage competing stakeholder demands.
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
