Lead Merchandise Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Merchandise Designer to own the hands‑on design of apparel, accessories and complementary products, while directing jewelry concepts to ensure cohesion across capsule collections. This fully remote position works closely with the founder, operations team and jewelry designers to bring anime‑inspired collections from sketch to market.

Key responsibilities

• Design merchandise beyond jewelry (apparel, accessories, complementary products) from concept through tech pack and sampling.
• Direct, curate and quality‑check jewelry concepts, CADs, renders and samples for brand fit and cohesion.
• Build capsule collections where jewelry and complementary products tie together under a single concept, with launch built in from the start.
• Write clear briefs for jewelry designers and maintain cohesion across each capsule.
• Provide specific feedback on brand fit, wearability, commercial viability and anime reference clarity.
• Develop tech packs and manage sampling to production‑ready quality.
• Plan collections against a launch calendar working backward from real dates.

Required profile

• Portfolio of physical fashion or merchandise products (jewelry, apparel, accessories or adjacent) you helped develop and bring to market.
• Hands‑on experience creating tech packs and running sampling with manufacturers or suppliers.
• Product taste aligned with a premium, design‑led brand and strong commercial judgment.
• Genuine knowledge of current anime titles, fandom culture and what resonates with the audience.
• Shopify or e‑commerce product experience.
• Written and spoken English at C2 level (hard requirement).
