Lead Engineer, Chemical & Process

About the role

Lead Engineer, Chemical & Process will drive innovative solutions for energy, resource and manufacturing projects, focusing on the dairy, food & beverage and broader manufacturing sectors. Based in Manila, you will support sustaining capital projects in New Zealand and contribute to Aurecon’s decarbonisation portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead small to medium‑size projects from concept to handover, ensuring client expectations and business objectives are met.
• Manage the full project lifecycle: cost estimation, budgeting, detailed design coordination, procurement, vendor management, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, support business development and work‑winning activities.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering team growth and high‑quality delivery.
• Stay current with industry advancements and integrate innovative practices into project designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of post‑graduation experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of winning work and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in dairy, food & beverage, or clean‑industry manufacturing sectors.
