About the role
The STRIDES Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Officer will support the nationwide rollout of the Integrated Laboratory Information Management System (ILIMS) for the Department of Health Office for Health Laboratories (DOH‑OHL) in the Philippines. Working on behalf of the USG Global Health Security program, the officer will coordinate technical teams, software developers, vendors, and laboratory stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and compliance with health informatics and data‑privacy standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor progress of ILIMS implementation across the country.
- Facilitate testing, validation, and quality assurance of core system modules.
- Support training and capacity‑building activities for laboratory staff.
- Prepare regular progress reports for DOH‑OHL and donor partners.
- Ensure all data handling complies with the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Required profile
- Experience in managing health‑informatics projects or LIMS deployments.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and public‑health surveillance systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, vendors, and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
