About the role
The Key Account Manager will lead the identification, negotiation, and launch of new retail locations across malls nationwide. This role works closely with mall operators, property developers, and internal cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and compliant store openings.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and secure prime store locations in malls, commercial centers, community malls, and mixed‑use developments.
- Negotiate lease agreements, renewal contracts, and favorable leasing terms.
- Coordinate site inspections, fit‑out approvals, and store turnover with mall management.
- Lead Operations, Design, Construction, and Visual Merchandising teams to achieve on‑time store openings.
- Ensure all mall compliance requirements (permits, insurance, technical standards) are met before opening.
- Conduct feasibility studies and location analyses to assess market potential and profitability.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of upcoming mall projects and partnership opportunities.
- Establish and nurture relationships with property developers, brokers, and mall groups.
- Serve as primary contact for mall partners and developers, managing key account strategies to optimise store performance.
- Resolve operational issues related to lease terms, store operations, or mall guidelines.
- Track store opening timelines, project milestones, and expansion KPIs.
- Provide monthly reports on market intelligence, competitor activities, and expansion status.
- Recommend new market strategies based on data‑driven insights.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience in key account management, retail business development, or store expansion.
- Proven experience in opening stores inside malls and handling lease negotiations.
- Background in retail, F&B, fashion, or franchise operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mall operations and retail leasing procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and expansion projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of financial metrics and ROI analysis related to store openings.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making capability.
