Junior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Software Engineer at Steradium, you will join an AI‑native engineering team that builds practical AI solutions for businesses. This full‑time remote position offers a fast‑paced environment where curiosity, problem‑solving and continuous learning are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain software components that power AI‑driven products.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and assist in building and testing back‑end APIs and services.
• Participate in code reviews, refine requirements with product and engineering teams, and keep documentation up to date.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with senior engineers.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge in Computer Science (algorithms, data structures, software engineering principles).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Interest in AI, machine learning or data‑driven systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
• Understanding of back‑end web development, RESTful APIs, server‑side frameworks and basic database integration.
• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) experience, including designing classes and reusable components.
• Ability to read and debug code, write unit and integration tests.
• Experience with version‑control tools such as Git.
