Junior Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

Daiichi Properties is seeking a Junior Corporate Legal Counsel to support its litigation and contract management functions. The role involves handling legal disputes, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, and assisting with land acquisition due diligence and AML compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for managing current and anticipated litigation, including risk analysis and mitigation.
• Coordinate with external law firms, oversee cost‑effective representation, and prepare legal documents such as demand letters and pleadings.
• Implement remedial actions for lease defaults, including property repossession and coordination with internal teams.
• Travel to project sites to resolve boundary issues, eject illegal occupants, and conduct fact‑finding for adverse claims.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including lease agreements, NDAs, and service provider contracts.
• Support Anti‑Money Laundering Act (AMLA) compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree – Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws.
• Minimum of 5 years combined experience in a law firm and in‑house counsel role within real‑estate development.
• Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing.
• Knowledge of land acquisition and title transfer processes.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to report to the office and travel to project locations as needed.
