Junior Legal Counsel – Telecommunications

About the role

The Junior Legal Counsel will support the Legal Advisory & Compliance Department of a leading telecommunications company. You will provide practical legal guidance, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and help mitigate business risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely legal opinions and consultancy to internal departments.
• Attend board and committee meetings to advise on legal matters.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks in business operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel on transactional matters.
• Review and align internal policies with applicable laws.
• Conduct legal due‑diligence for site acquisitions and other initiatives.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts.
• Assist with corporate secretarial functions and statutory compliance.
• Handle special projects, task‑force participation, and litigation preparation.
• Mentor Legal Associates and support team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Passed the Bar Examination and member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• 1–2 years of experience in corporate law, governance, regulatory compliance, corporate housekeeping, or litigation.
• Strong analytical ability to identify legal issues during due diligence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results‑oriented, able to multitask and work under pressure.
