Java Developer - Bilingual

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a bilingual Java Developer to join its Application Development team. You will work on enterprise‑grade solutions that support clients on their hybrid cloud and AI journeys, collaborating with global teams and leveraging IBM and Red Hat technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Java/JEE stack, incorporating frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy.
• Implement transaction management, manage Java objects, and integrate enterprise systems to ensure data integrity.
• Apply development methodologies including dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect‑oriented programming, functional programming, test‑driven development, and batch processing.
• Utilize DevOps tools and practices to streamline development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability across enterprise applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in enterprise application development using Java/JEE.
• Familiarity with web development using Ruby or Groovy is preferred.
• Experience working with DevOps methodologies and tools.
