About the role
GPC Philippines Corporation is looking for an IT Support Tier 1 Technician to provide first‑line technical assistance to a global user base during night hours (12:00 am – 9:00 am PHT). The role is part of a follow‑the‑sun support model, ensuring continuous coverage and rapid issue resolution across Mac and PC platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver first‑line support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems on macOS and Windows devices.
- Prioritize and manage incoming support tickets to meet service level agreements.
- Participate in a follow‑the‑sun model to maintain 24‑hour global coverage.
- Collaborate with the IT team to streamline processes and reduce backlogs.
- Create and update knowledge‑base articles and user guides.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience in IT support or help‑desk roles.
- Proficiency with macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms and remote‑support tools.
- Basic understanding of networking, MDM, Apple Business Manager, Okta, SSO and IAM concepts.
- Preferred certifications: ACSP, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
