IT Support Specialist

About the role

The IT Support Specialist leads the daily operations of an IT support team, ensuring rapid troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and reliable maintenance of hardware and software across the organization. The role requires strong coordination, advanced technical expertise, and a focus on SLA compliance and system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor network performance, security, and system availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document solutions.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Apply system updates, patches, and routine maintenance.
• Support IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset inventory.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and third‑party providers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+).
• Excellent attendance and performance record for internal candidates.
• Ability to work shifting schedules, including weekends, and 100% onsite.

• Virtual desktop deployment (Citrix, VMware).
• Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure).
• Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Active Directory and user account management.
• ACD telephony systems and mobile device management (Intune, MDM).
• Remote/VPN technologies.
• IT asset inventory management.
