Internet Travel Consultant – Bilingual English/Japanese

About the role

Rakuten Travel, a leading online travel agency in Japan, is seeking a bilingual Internet Travel Consultant based in the Philippines. You will act as a bridge between Japanese travelers and hotel partners, helping to promote accommodations and drive online sales.

Key responsibilities

• Support inbound travel from Japan by managing hotel contracts and promoting properties to Rakuten members.
• Analyse partner performance, primarily hotel partners, and provide strategic consulting.
• Design and publish accommodation plans on the Japanese-language Rakuten Travel website.
• Assist with production of customized online pages (training provided).
• Develop business opportunities to increase advertisement sales for partners.
• Provide customer‑service support to local partners and handle ad‑hoc tasks for Singapore and ASEAN branches.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in hospitality, e‑commerce or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage online rates, inventory and content.
• Experience in a multicultural, results‑driven environment.
• Self‑motivated with a track record of achieving partnership goals.
• Business, sales or customer‑service background.
• Fluent in English and Japanese to serve Japanese‑speaking clients.
