HSSE Inspector – Wawa Project

About the role

The HSSE Inspector will support the Wawa project by ensuring health, safety, security and environmental standards are met on a daily basis. You will work closely with contractors, the Resident Engineer and the HSSE Manager to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections, audits and safety surveillance activities.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSSE plans, method statements, permit‑to‑work systems and Philippine regulations.
• Verify implementation of Job Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method Statements.
• Identify unsafe acts, conditions and environmental risks; recommend corrective actions and track closure.
• Prepare inspection reports, non‑conformance reports and maintain safety statistics.
• Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations and emergency drills.
• Monitor environmental management measures such as erosion control, waste management and water quality protection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• Minimum 5 years HSSE experience in construction, infrastructure, dam, hydropower, tunnel or power projects.
• Knowledge of Philippine occupational safety, health and environmental regulations and international HSSE standards.
• Experience with large‑scale civil or underground works is preferred.
