HCM Specialist (Workday)

About the role

Human Capital Management oversees the employee lifecycle and manages employee data. The HCM Specialist optimizes the use of Workday's HCM platform to support HR operations and strategic initiatives. The role combines technical expertise, a solid understanding of HR operations, analytical skills and collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and update employee and contingent worker data accurately
• Handle administrative tasks and respond to employee concerns to deliver a positive customer experience
• Take part in testing, identify issues and help deploy system changes smoothly
• Document processes and procedures and update or create training materials for new members
• Provide end-user support, troubleshoot Level 2 issues and guide users on system functionality
• Validate data to ensure its integrity and accuracy
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics on metrics and trends
• Lead or take part in projects on operations, ideas and process improvements

Required profile

• At least 3 years of proven experience as an HCM Specialist or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of HR processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across organizational levels
• Fast learner, self-starter with a positive mindset; able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to give and receive feedback and to lead through influence

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills, especially Excel
• Experience with Workday is a plus
