Geographic Information System (GIS) Officer

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a GIS Officer to support its fast‑growing renewable energy portfolio in Southeast Asia. Based in Daanbantayan, Cebu, the role will lead GIS data management, mapping, and spatial analysis to aid engineering, environmental, and construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all company data‑management and mapping activities.
• Initiate contractor engagement and prepare RFPs for relocation, parcelary, topographic and related surveys.
• Monitor contractor progress and verify deliverables at each milestone.
• Conduct land surveys and site inspections using surveying instruments.
• Facilitate acquisition of spatial data from contractors and integrate it into the company database.
• Organise and track land‑related documents, both hard and soft copies.
• Prepare general maps for assigned service‑contract areas.
• Support Community Development, Construction, Electrical and Permitting teams with map requirements.
• Encode and process data using Google Earth, ArcGIS and related tools.
• Georeference maps and incorporate information from land documents.
• Coordinate with the Land Securement team and update land status weekly.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing GIS projects and teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across the Philippines.
• Ability to supervise contractors and ensure data accuracy.
