Full-Time Tourism Faculty

About the role

The Full-Time Tourism Faculty position is an on‑site academic role at Lyceum of the Philippines University in Manila. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering and continuously improving tourism‑related undergraduate courses, while supporting student learning and career development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update syllabi, lecture materials, assessments and learning resources aligned with program outcomes and industry standards.
• Teach undergraduate tourism, hospitality and travel management classes, facilitating discussions, experiential activities and mentorship.
• Maintain regular consultation hours and advise students on academic pathways and career options.
• Contribute to curriculum design, program accreditation, and collaborative initiatives with industry partners.
• Engage in scholarly or applied research in tourism and hospitality.
• Participate in departmental meetings, university events and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Travel Management or a closely related field (Doctorate preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the tertiary level or substantial industry experience that can be translated into effective classroom instruction.
• Strong knowledge of current tourism trends, sustainable tourism, destination management and global industry standards.
• Experience with curriculum design, lesson planning and outcome‑based assessment methods.
