Front-End Software Developer (React/Vue) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Front‑End Software Developer to help build a modern SaaS platform for the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The role is fully remote and will involve shaping architecture, performance and the overall developer experience while working closely with senior leadership and back‑end teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern front‑end applications using React and/or Vue.js.
• Build scalable, high‑performance user interfaces for enterprise‑grade logistics workflows.
• Collaborate with the Chief Delivery Officer, Business Analysts, Lead Architect and Back‑End Engineers to deliver new platform capabilities.
• Implement state‑management and server‑state handling with TanStack Query (React Query) and optimise performance through caching, retries and asynchronous data strategies.
• Contribute to front‑end architecture decisions, coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Create reusable component libraries and scalable front‑end patterns.
• Integrate with APIs and event streams connected to freight forwarding and Australian Border Force systems.
• Leverage AI‑assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality and automate repetitive tasks.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, testing automation and overall developer experience improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building green‑field platforms and leading front‑end development.
• Ability to think beyond traditional front‑end development and guide architectural discussions with senior architects.
• Passionate about technology evolution, continuous improvement and solving complex workflow challenges.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with React and/or Vue.js.
• Experience with TanStack Query (React Query) or similar state‑management tools.
• Knowledge of API integration and event‑driven UI workflows.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing automation.
