Fleet Administrator – Hybrid (Construction)

About the role

The Fleet Administrator provides essential administrative and process support to the Operations team within a construction environment. Working on a hybrid schedule, the role ensures accurate management of asset and personnel records, logistics coordination, and compliance documentation to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely administrative support for logistics and transport activities, maintaining accurate allocation registers and issuing booking communications.
• Monitor logistics information, escalates issues, and prepare transport, tracking, and internal reporting as required.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, maintain container weight declarations, permits, vehicle records, and other compliance documentation.
• Monitor telematics and GPS tracking, report faults to the workshop, and ensure drivers have current vehicle and safety documents.
• Assist with route and journey planning, maintain driver activity records, and support roster and schedule updates.
• Handle wet and dry hire administration, including safety inductions, location allocation reports, and dead‑stock reporting.
• Support supplier engagement, monitor rates, and review compliance documentation annually.
• Provide client and commercial administration, preparing hire schedules, rental agreements, and new client setup documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, fleet, or construction administration.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and compliance documents.
• Ability to coordinate with drivers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve scheduling and logistics issues.
• Familiarity with telematics, GPS tracking systems, and transport regulations.
