Financial Controller (Remote, Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function on a remote, full‑time basis. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape financial strategy, ensure compliance, and drive performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits, implement recommendations and ensure tax compliance (VAT/GST, etc.).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and KPI monitoring to provide actionable insights for decision‑making.
• Mentor and develop a finance team of 5‑15 members, set objectives and foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, improve accounting processes and ERP utilization, and identify automation opportunities.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA.
• 10‑15 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, FP&A, compliance and audit management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or QuickBooks.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP standards.
