Financial Controller - COO Domain

About the role

ING is hiring a Financial Controller for the COO domain within ING Hubs Philippines, working as an integrated member of Global Finance for COO and CTO. The role ensures accurate, complete and controlled financial reporting across assigned COO domains, supporting actuals review, month-end close validation, variance analysis, cost and FTE reporting, intercompany analysis, VAT reclaim support and management reporting. It works closely with Business Controllers, the Head of Finance and COO stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform actuals review, month-end close validation, variance analysis and management reporting for assigned COO domains.
• Ensure accurate and consistent cost, FTE, intercompany and VAT reclaim reporting.
• Prepare evidence-based commentary on financial performance, key variances, risks and opportunities.
• Review planning and forecasting assumptions against actual performance and business expectations.
• Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to finance and COO stakeholders.
• Own recurring and ad hoc financial control deliverables and resolve financial risks, data inconsistencies and control gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; CPA, CMA, CFA or a master's degree is an advantage.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial controlling and planning and analysis.
• Able to adapt to complex cross-functional, matrix global business environments.

Required skills

• Actuals reporting, month-end close review, planning, forecasting, cost management and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI, Hyperion, SmartView and Power Query are a plus.
• Proficiency in enterprise planning tools such as Hyperion and Oracle EPM; Power Query is a plus.
