Financial Control Specialist - Rates

About the role

The Markets and Treasury Financial Control team maintains a robust control environment and produces financial reporting and analysis for the Markets and Treasury divisions, using disciplined end-to-end trial balance control including Balance Sheet and Profit/Loss recognition and substantiation. This Financial Control Specialist, Rates is an intermediate position acting as subject matter expert for the Global Rates team in Manila, supporting timely and accurate financial information and statutory and regulatory reporting across the business units. It is a permanent, full-time day-shift role based in Makati City.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of accurate reports, including reviewing and approving P&L reports and month-end reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation and regulations (statutory and regulatory)
• Identify process improvement or automation opportunities
• Build collaborative relationships with MTFC team members and stakeholders
• Support timely remediation of adverse audit findings
• Provide support and oversight to junior team members as operational lead
• Participate in strategic initiatives and propose solutions to maintain a well-managed day-to-day operation

Required profile

• Markets product knowledge, preferably structured products, with extensive finance experience
• Strong ability to multi-task in a highly complex environment
• Business acumen, financial prudence and customer focus
• CA or CPA qualification preferred
