Farm Production Technician (Stay-In Set Up)

About the role

The Farm Production Technician supports daily operations of Aboitiz Foods’ swine facilities, ensuring the health, welfare and productivity of the herd. Working on‑site in a stay‑in setup, the technician carries out feeding, health monitoring, facility upkeep and biosecurity tasks across breeding, lactation, nursery, gilt development and grow‑finishing units.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the genetic program, maintaining accurate breeder records in the swine production management software.
• Perform heat detection, artificial insemination, boar semen collection and semen processing following standard operating procedures.
• Monitor health, nutrition and progress of pregnant sows and other pigs, reporting any issues.
• Assist with feeding, cleaning, equipment maintenance and biosecurity measures throughout all farm units.
• Collect and analyse production data to meet key performance indicators such as conception rate, farrowing rate and feed conversion ratio.

Required profile

• Experience or training in swine herd management and farm operations.
• Familiarity with genetic programs and animal record‑keeping systems.
• Ability to follow SOPs for breeding activities and biosecurity protocols.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a stay‑in farm environment.
