Project Consultant, Environmental

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Environmental Project Consultant to support client engagements throughout the project lifecycle in Manila. You will act as the central point for project management activities, ensuring environmental compliance and effective coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing frameworks and responsibility matrices for environmental activities required by EIS, ECC, LGU, BCDA, and CDC.
• Report on environmental compliance/non‑compliance of construction activities and propose mitigating measures to LGU, CDC, BCDA, and DENR.
• Support the application and processing of permits from DENR, EMB, LGU, BCDA, and CDC in coordination with clients and the project management team.
• Review, approve, and sign off contractor environmental submissions.
• Monitor and report on activities related to the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Serve as the liaison between the on‑site project management team and external agencies.

Required profile

• Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying requests.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Accredited PCO (Project Coordination Officer) by DENR.
• Experience preparing SMR and CMR reports.
• Good understanding of environmental laws related to ECC requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of environmental compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Familiarity with permitting processes of DENR, EMB, LGU, CDC, and BCDA.
• Ability to generate and manage environmental frameworks and matrices.
