Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of plant utilities, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of water, air, power and other essential services to production, offices and support areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis/Deionized Water System, Domestic Water System, Sewage Treatment Plant, Air Fume Scrubber and Fire Protection System.
• Assist shift engineers with HVAC, NVCA (Nitrogen, Vacuum & Compressed Dry Air), Power System and auxiliary equipment.
• Respond promptly to production calls regarding facilities issues.
• Implement continuous‑improvement, cost‑saving and energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment.
• Collect and record equipment performance data for reporting.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational education, or engineering‑related coursework.
• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry.
• Knowledge of semiconductor process fundamentals, OSHA safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Basic understanding of safety engineering for electrical, mechanical, chemical and physical hazards.

• Pumps, electric motors, fans and blowers.
• Electrical and power panels.
• Air‑conditioning equipment (centralized, packaged and unitary).
• Wastewater treatment and reverse‑osmosis water systems.
• PLC programming and motor control.
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Mechanical design, machining and fabrication of equipment parts.
