Events Manager

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Events Manager to lead and coordinate all local events at Shangri‑La Mactan, a premier 5‑star resort in Cebu. You will work closely with hotel departments to deliver memorable experiences that reflect our luxury brand and Asian hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute a wide range of on‑site events, ensuring high‑quality service for every guest.
• Collaborate with hotel teams to develop innovative event concepts and resolve recurring operational issues.
• Engage with guests throughout the event lifecycle, seeking opportunities to enhance service and exceed expectations.
• Supervise, motivate and train event staff to achieve service standards and revenue targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and market practices to keep the resort’s event offering competitive.

Required profile

• Passion for sales and marketing with a creative, out‑of‑the‑box mindset.
• Strong organisational abilities and experience working in a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Friendly, trustworthy leadership style and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in the local language is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and driven to implement change.
