Electrician I – Electrical Maintenance

About the role

The Electrician I provides on‑site electrical service and maintenance across multiple facilities. Reporting to the Foreman, the role ensures that electrical equipment operates reliably and that service disruptions are minimized.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and replace electrical equipment as specified in job requests.
• Perform routine electrical maintenance, including circuit breaker corrective work and inspections.
• Service wiring, lighting systems, control panels, motor controllers and pump controllers.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing devices and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• Knowledge of administrative procedures and record‑keeping.
• Understanding of customer service principles and ability to assess client needs.
• Familiarity with building construction materials, methods and tools, especially low‑voltage switchgear and both 3‑phase and single‑phase systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong time‑management and coordination skills to work safely alongside other trades.
