Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will work on a variety of projects, delivering complete electrical designs that meet local regulations and international standards while collaborating with architects and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design projects including analysis, evaluation, design reports, calculations, and drawings in line with company procedures.
• Design all electrical systems ensuring compliance with DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Life and Safety, and other authority requirements.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for lighting, power distribution, cable routing, fire alarm, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Prepare comprehensive design documents, specifications, schedules, and technical reports using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Conduct electrical calculations such as load analysis, short‑circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing.
• Collaborate closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into project designs.
• Provide technical guidance to external stakeholders throughout the design and coordination process.
• Present engineering solutions during concept and schematic design stages and produce detailed design reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience, preferably on Middle East projects.
• Extensive experience in building services design across sectors such as high‑rise, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, industrial, and refurbishment.
• Filipino citizenship or the right to work in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360.
• Experience using Dialux, Dialux Evo, and Amtech Design Pro for lighting calculations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical calculations, load analysis, short‑circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing.
• Familiarity with international design standards, DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Life and Safety, NFPA.
