Aircon Technician

About the role

CIIT is seeking an experienced Aircon Technician to maintain and service its HVAC and ventilation systems, ensuring reliable climate control across its educational facilities. The role supports CIIT’s mission to bridge the skill gap in Philippine education through a safe and efficient working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, ventilation, and related electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including filter and coil cleaning, and checking electrical panels and controls.
• Respond to HVAC service requests and Facility Management System tickets promptly.
• Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, and reports.
• Support emergency repairs and coordinate with contractors during major maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Technical/Vocational course in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in air‑conditioning maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• TESDA RAC Servicing NC II (required) and NC III (preferred).
• Willingness to work shifting schedules (morning or evening).

Required skills

• Knowledge of split‑type, window‑type, and VRF/VRV HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot compressors, motors, thermostats, electrical panels, and control systems.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance, refrigerant handling, and leak detection.
• Familiarity with electrical PMS, panel checking, and basic electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, PPE usage, and maintenance procedures.
