Driver – EV6W Truck

About the role

DSSI is seeking a professional driver to operate an electric 6‑wheel truck (EV6W) for delivery missions across Metro Manila and South Luzon. You will ensure safe, on‑time deliveries while adhering to company, customer and traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned EV6W truck safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Complete delivery trips according to approved dispatch plans and route assignments.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, checking battery level, tires, lights, brakes, tools and documentation.
• Coordinate charging status with the fleet team and follow EV charging procedures.
• Assist with loading, unloading, checking and securing cargo when required.
• Handle goods carefully to avoid damage, loss or delivery discrepancies.
• Report vehicle concerns, delays, accidents, cargo issues and route challenges immediately.
• Maintain accurate trip documents, delivery receipts, DTR and other operational records.
• Follow working hours, safety protocols and customer site rules.

Required profile

• Valid professional driver’s license with the appropriate restriction for 6‑wheel trucks.
• Experience driving 6‑wheeler trucks, preferably in logistics, distribution, FMCG or delivery operations.
• Familiarity with Metro Manila, South Luzon and nearby delivery routes is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to support loading/unloading activities when needed.
• Willingness to work shifting schedules, extended hours, weekends, holidays and changing dispatch requirements.
• Disciplined, safety‑focused, reliable and customer‑oriented with a clean traffic‑violation record.

Required skills

• Professional driver’s license for 6‑wheel trucks
• Experience with electric vehicle operation and charging procedures
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection, road safety, cargo handling and delivery documentation
