Director of Wellness

About the role

The Director of Wellness will design, launch and manage an integrated wellness experience for Mandarin Oriental Makati. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, this senior role will shape the wellness centre’s concept, operations and brand positioning while reflecting both global standards and local culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the full operational structure of the Wellness Centre, including facilities planning, equipment selection, design flow and guest journey.
• Create SOPs, service standards and guidelines aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s global wellness philosophy.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Housekeeping, Security and other departments to ensure pre‑opening readiness.
• Recruit, train and onboard the wellness and spa team, embedding the brand’s service culture.
• Lead financial planning – budgeting, forecasting, cost control and revenue strategy for spa, fitness, retail and memberships.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships with luxury wellness brands, health experts, local artisans and holistic practitioners.
• Drive data‑driven performance monitoring and continuous improvement of wellness offerings.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in managing spa, fitness or holistic wellness operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead pre‑opening projects, develop SOPs and build high‑performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and revenue optimisation.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional hotel departments and external partners.
