DevOps Platform Engineer

About the role

You will join an AI‑augmented engineering team building a modern e‑commerce platform. The position focuses on extending the existing CI/CD pipeline and creating the infrastructure for AI agents that assist the whole development team.

Key responsibilities

• Extend current GitHub Actions workflows with linting, testing, AI code review, end‑to‑end tests, preview and production deployments.
• Design, build and maintain infrastructure for six Anthropic Claude‑powered AI agents (code review, bug detection, test generation, documentation, feature development).
• Implement a two‑tier override mechanism with audit trails for senior engineers and the Head of Engineering.
• Configure branch protection, environment promotion, and deployment authorisation.
• Automate rollback processes to reduce recovery time from 30‑45 minutes to under 2 minutes.
• Set up dependency vulnerability scanning, pre‑commit hooks, and secrets rotation.
• Manage Netlify deployment settings, preview deploys and production triggers.
• Own Anthropic API billing, monitor usage and optimise costs.
• Write runbooks for deployment, rollback, incident response and AI agent troubleshooting.
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts in Datadog.

Required profile

• 5+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience authoring complex GitHub Actions workflows.
• Familiarity with JAMstack hosting solutions such as Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js scripting.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs into CI/CD pipelines, including rate‑limiting and retry logic.
• Knowledge of static analysis tools like SonarCloud.
• Solid secrets management and environment configuration practices.
