DevOps Engineer

About the role

ING Hubs Philippines is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a cross‑functional team that supports global banking services. You will ensure system reliability for the Manila timezone, collaborate with developers and architects, and act as a DevOps extension for multiple ING sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide DevOps/SRE coverage for the Manila timezone, bridging global support windows.
• Own production deployments, release coordination and rollbacks.
• Monitor production stability, manage risks and lead incident handling during critical outages.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative fixes.
• Improve monitoring, alerts and runbooks to reduce incident impact.
• Automate recurring operational and support tasks.
• Coordinate closely with development and platform teams.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure service levels for availability, performance and security.

Required profile

• At least 3 + years of experience in DevOps, SRE or related production support.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
• High written and oral communication skills.
• Cultural adaptability and ability to work across time zones.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (Azure DevOps, Jenkins or equivalent).
• Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Linux system administration.
• Monitoring and observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Source control with Git (branching, merging).
• Incident management and root‑cause analysis.
