Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our team in Pasig City. The role focuses on structural and geotechnical design for large-scale infrastructure, marine and coastal projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural and geotechnical design, including contractor submission checks and internal quality control.
• Coordinate with design, construction management and project control teams to support construction progress.
• Prepare technical correspondence and liaise with construction, contract administration and government authorities.
• Design marine facilities such as revetments, shoreline protection, ports and harbours, and perform soil investigation and testing.
• Analyze and design soil improvement, stability and coastal protection structures using reinforced and pre/post-tensioned concrete and steel.
• Ensure designs comply with SMEC/SJ standards, British Standards, ASTM and Philippine codes.
• Review and validate CAD and drafting outputs, and assist in preparing specifications, bills of quantities and tender documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on large-scale infrastructure or reclamation projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage and coordinate design activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong organizational abilities.
