Deputy Project Manager

About the role

The Deputy Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, managing and executing the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for major transport infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with DPWH, ADB and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overall project planning, schedule monitoring, resource allocation and QA/QC implementation.
• Coordinate bridge, highway, geotechnical, hydrology, environmental and social safeguard specialists.
• Review technical studies, surveys, calculations and ensure integration across disciplines.
• Prepare and review DED documentation, ensuring technical, economic and environmental analyses are sound.
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination with DPWH, ADB, LGUs and other agencies.
• Support procurement packaging, cost estimating and construction methodology reviews.
• Monitor compliance with ADB Safeguard Policy and Philippine regulations.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and report critical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Registered Civil Engineer.
• At least 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects, especially bridges and transportation.
• Experience with feasibility studies, detailed engineering design and donor‑funded projects (ADB, World Bank, JICA).
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
