Databricks Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Data Engineer with hands‑on experience in Databricks to design, develop, and optimise scalable data solutions. The role involves working with both structured and unstructured data, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring data quality in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines on Databricks.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes for large‑scale data processing.
• Work with multiple data sources, handling structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and manage data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with data analysts, developers and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and governance across platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data workflow performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures.
• Experience with version‑control tools like Git.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
